Urania

My latest work to date revolves around antique engraving. A kind of backtracking towards old art techniques. I like the ‘mise en abyme’ that shines through in this illustation. The fact that one has the impression that I am sculpting the subject with my pen gives a real illusion of mixed media, which I have been looking for for a long time. I also wanted to show the passage of time, leaving indelible traces along the way. And once again, take the viewer a little closer to my world in this portrait of the Muse Urania, explorer of astronomy.
